Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll reportedly 'blown away' by former Texas QB Tyrone Swoopes

Tyrone Swoopes knew he had to make a change to pursue his dreams of playing in the NFL.

So the 6-4, 247-pound quarterback switched to the tight end position after his senior season, hoping his athleticism and frame could intrigue league executives . The move paid dividends in April, when he signed with the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent.

Now Swoopes is already impressing his new coaching staff at the pro level. According to The News Tribune's Gregg Bell, Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll has been "blown away" by the Whitewright product, especially as a blocker.
