Just over 43 years after the original dedication and 44 years after the passing of Freddie Steinmark, the scoreboard at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium was rededicated earlier today as part of a year of celebration in his and his family's honor. The year will culminate with the release of the major motion picture, "My All American," on Nov. 13, which chronicles Steinmark's inspiring life story. Additionally throughout the 2015 season, head coach Charlie Strong has had an "FS" decal placed on the Longhorns' helmets in tribute to Freddie and his family. The Steinmark family was presented with a Lifetime Membership by the Texas Exes and a flag that has flown over the Texas Capitol.
