Schooling wins bronze medal at FINA World Championships

KAZAN, Russia – University of Texas sophomore Joseph Schooling won bronze for his native Singapore in the 100-meter butterfly Saturday evening at the 2015 FINA World Championships.

Two months after winning nine gold medals at the Southeast Asian Games, Schooling won his first medal at a World Championships or Olympics meet and claimed bronze in the 100m butterfly at 50.96 seconds, good for a personal best and his first clearance of the 51-second mark.
