AUSTIN, Texas – Collegiate track and field season is underway with the Texas Longhorns opening their schedule next week. As teams turn their attention to 2017, the USTFCCCA announced its 2017 Bowerman Men's Preseason Watch List on Wednesday and a Longhorn is among the 10 student-athletes named.
Senior hurdler Byron Robinson is the only athlete from a Big 12 Conference school on the list and is coming off his ninth-place finish in the 400 meter hurdles at the Olympic Games this summer in Rio.
The Longhorn claimed his first Big 12 outdoor title in the 400 meter hurdles in May, clocking in at 49.
