Either way, his assessment of the Oklahoma offense and defense Tuesday was interesting as the College Football Playoff rankings were unveiled Tuesday on ESPN.
“Obviously, we’re very aware that they have one of the most dynamic offenses in the country, a great quarterback, lots of great skill position players,” said Mullens, chairman of the CFP selection committee. “But we’re very aware that they’re having defensive trouble.”
Mullen said that “deficiency” goes into the committee’s evaluation.
On ESPN, selection committee chairman Rob Mullens praises Oklahoma's offense but also notes Sooners' defensive struggles, calls it a deficiency.
