Max Weiner hasn’t forgotten about Dre.
Earlier this week, Texas Longhorns right-hander Andre Duplantier announced his return to play under the program’s new pitching coach and new head coach Jim Schlossnagle.
After four seasons at Texas, Duplantier went unselected in this month’s MLB Draft and opted to return for a fifth year on the Forty Acres following a successful season with the Longhorns.
A two-way player in 2020, Duplantier showed promise on the mound before suffering an elbow injury that required Tommy John surgery and forced the Humble Summer Creek product to miss the following season.
