The Texas Longhorns have decided to cut ties with defensive backs coach Chris Vaughn because of his alleged involvement in the NCAA recruiting violations levied against Ole Miss, according to multiple reports.
Vaughn, who joined the Longhorns before the 2014 season, was a recruiting coordinator at Ole Miss from 2008 to 2011.
The Ole Miss football program was cited by the NCAA this week in 13 of the 28 rules violations levied against the school in the notice of allegations the university recently received.
Of the 13 violations, four involved the staff under Houston Nutt, who was head coach from 2008 to 2011.
