Texas Longhorns freshman linebacker Terrence Cooks II appears poised to leave the program after less than a year on the Forty Acres after news broke on Wednesday that he’s entering the NCAA transfer portal, according to Horns247.
His mother seemingly confirmed the news on Twitter, as did Orangebloods.
Listed as the third-string strong-side linebacker on the team’s depth chart this season, Cooks did not record any statistics at Texas in one appearance against Rice.
Cooks enrolled early last January after committing in November of 2020 and signing his National Letter of Intent during the early signing period.
