Reports: RB Keaontay Ingram’s Texas career may be over

A third Texas Longhorns player could join left tackle Sam Cosmi and safety Caden Sterns in ending their career on the Forty Acres early, as Horns247 reported on Thursday that junior running back Keaontay Ingram is expected to opt out and enter the NCAA transfer portal after he stopped attending practices this week.

Inside Texas confirmed the report shortly thereafter.

Ingram is currently listed as questionable for Saturday’s game against Kansas State with a high ankle sprain that he sustained against Oklahoma State last month. After scoring a touchdown on the carry following his injury, Ingram left the game and has not played since.
