Wide receiver Bru McCoy’s time with the USC Trojans may be coming to an end, essentially before it even begins, as Inside Texas and Horns247 reported on Thursday afternoon that McCoy has entered the NCAA transfer portal.
A former five-star athlete out of Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei, McCoy committed USC over the Texas Longhorns at the All-American Bowl earlier this month and subsequently enrolled in classes, but the rumor mill began churning this week indicating that the top-10 talent may be eyeing a transfer from the Trojans.
HornSports’ senior recruiting analyst Daniel Seahorn publicly noted the rumblings on Wednesday evening:
Earlier today we received a tip that McCoy was looking to finalize his intentions to enter the transfer portal.
