Report: Texas WR Tarik Black won’t play in Alamo Bowl

According to a report from Chip Brown of Horns247, Texas Longhorns graduate transfer wide receiver Tarik Black will not play in Tuesday’s Alamo Bowl against the Colorado Buffaloes and will not return next season.

After an injury-riddled career with the Michigan Wolverines, Tarik Black opted to become a graduate transfer this year and landed in Austin as the coaching staff attempted to bolster a relatively inexperienced wide receiver corps.

The 6’3, 217-pounder started in the season opener against UTEP and got off to a strong start with five catches for 80 yards and a touchdown.
