On the field, there wasn’t much drama for the Texas Longhorns on Saturday evening in a 59-3 demolition of the UTEP Miners at Darrel K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium. On the sidelines, however, junior safety BJ Foster reportedly quit the team during the third quarter due to a lack of playing time.
According to Chip Brown of Horns247, Foster apparently had second thoughts pretty quickly — he lifted weights with his teammates on Sunday.
Then, on Sunday evening, Anwar Richardson of Orangebloods reported that Foster met with the coaching staff and decided to remain with the team.
