Just days after the Texas Longhorns saw freshman quarterback Cameron Rising depart to Utah by way of the NCAA Transfer Portal, and junior quarterback Shane Buechele enter the Transfer Portal, himself, the Texas Longhorns running back room is seemingly set to suffer similar attrition.
According to a report from Inside Texas, redshirt junior running back Kyle Porter and senior running back Tristian Houston have each entered the NCAA Transfer Portal, as well.
A former starter and key contributor throughout the early portion of the 2017 season, Porter saw only one carry for two yards in 2018 as Texas largely relied upon graduate transfer Tre Watson, true freshman Keaontay Ingram, and quarterback Sam Ehlinger to assume ball-carrying duties.
