Texas Longhorns nose tackle T’Vondre Sweat, who just completed his sophomore season on the Forty Acres, will undergo shoulder surgery as a result of the injury he suffered against the Colorado Buffaloes in the Alamo Bowl, according to a report from Chip Brown of Horns247.
The 6’4, 348-pounder, who is known for having a personality as big as his frame, was down on the field several times against Colorado as a result of the shoulder injury.
Serving as the backup to redshirt sophomore Keondre Coburn, Sweat played in all 10 games during the 2020 season, recorded 22 tackles, four tackles for loss, one sack, one pass breakup, one quarterback hurry, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery.
