According to a report from Bruce Feldman on FOX, the Oklahoma Sooners may not have freshman running back Seth McGowan available on Saturday against the Texas Longhorns in the Cotton Bowl for the Red River Showdown.
The 5’11, 211-pounder is reportedly in concussion protocol following last week’s loss against Iowa State.
After starting running back Kennedy Brooks decided to opt out of the 2020 season, McGowan became the starter as a true freshman and got off to a solid start. In fact, the Mesquite Poteet product is the only Oklahoma player currently over 100 yards on the season with 34 carries for 181 yards and two touchdowns.
