The top target for Texas Longhorns athletics director Chris Del Conte to replace fired head baseball coach David Pierce appears to be Texas A&M Aggies head coach Jim Schlossnagle, whose team finished as the runner-up in the College World Series to the Tennessee Volunteers on Monday evening.
According to a report from the Houston Chronicle, Schlossnagle could make his impactful decision on Tuesday with the Aggies back in College Station and the head coach reportedly set to meet with the Texas A&M administration in an effort to keep him in Aggieland.
