The second recruitment of former Texas Longhorns defensive back John Bonney could be a short one, as he’s reportedly in Lubbock visiting with the Texas Tech Red Raiders on Tuesday, according to Chris Level of Red Raider Sports, shortly after Texas announced his intention to transfer.
Anwar Richardson of Orangebloods had already reported that Bonney is “likely to play for Texas Tech” and that Texas head coach Tom Herman made the relatively rare decision not to block a transfer to a conference opponent.
Herman, according to the report, “just wants John to be happy.
