Nearly four years to the day since collecting the 1,000th victory in the program history with a win against Kansas, Texas Women's Basketball reached win number 1,100 by defeating the Jayhawks, 85-77, at the Frank Erwin Center on Wednesday night.
The Longhorns are the sixth team in NCAA women's history to achieve 1,100 all-time victories, joining Tennessee, UConn, James Madison, Louisiana Tech and Stanford.
Head coach Karen Aston was at the helm for the 1,000th victory and reflected on what it means to be a part of the Longhorn tradition.
"It's a privilege to be up here and represent The University of Texas and for us to get out 1,100 win today and be a part of the history of Texas Women's Basketball is really special to me and our players as well," Aston said.
