Record-tying number of losses leaves Texas coach Shaka Smart feeling 'incredible urgency' for offseason

One win in the Big 12 tournament was pretty much all that could be expected from Texas - and all the Longhorns delivered.

Texas fell 63-53 to second-seeded West Virginia in the quarterfinals. With an 11-22 finish, the Longhorns tied the school record for losses in a single season, set in 1982-83. Texas was picked third in the Big 12 in the preseason.

Asked if there was an offseason sense of urgency, coach Shaka Smart said: "For me, oh yeah, that sure is. I got the question about what do you do in the offseason and we have a lot of work to do.
