For the second time in the last three years, the Texas Longhorns will get starting quarterback Quinn Ewers back from injury against the Oklahoma Sooners in the Cotton Bowl.
Hours after Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian confirmed that Ewers is returning to the starting lineup after missing two games with an oblique strain suffered against UTSA last month, the school removed Ewers from the second injury report ahead of Saturday’s game in Dallas.
“I think Quinn has shown over his time that when he’s been injured, he’s engaged, he comes back, and he plays really good football coming off of injury, and so that to me is another chance for him to go show that that he can do that here moving forward,” Sarkisian said.
