Coming off of losses in five of the last six games, the Texas Longhorns needed to get back on track and did exactly that against the No. 11 Kansas Jayhawks at the Erwin Center in Austin on Tuesday evening.
The 73-63 victory included a hot start defensively after struggles on that end of the court in conference play and excellent free-throw shooting down the stretch — Texas made 21-of-23 foul shots (91.8 percent) and got some big baskets late from sophomore guard Jase Febres, who finished with four buckets from long range.
