AUSTIN — Texas coach Charlie Strong and his quarterback might have to spend part of their offseason in a courtroom.
The Associated Press reported Monday that Strong, UT quarterback Tyrone Swoopes and former athletic director Steve Patterson are among the names on a formal witness list submitted by Oklahoma State in its pending lawsuit against Longhorns assistant coach Joe Wickline.
The case is set for a May trial date in Oklahoma. OSU is asking for almost $600,000 the school says is owed by Wickline because he did not take a job “with play-calling duties” when he broke his contract with the Cowboys.
