AUSTIN — The continued legal saga between a Texas assistant coach and one of the Longhorns’ Big 12 foes isn’t likely to be resolved before the end of the coming football season.
Sean Breen, an attorney representing Oklahoma State in its lawsuit against UT assistant Joe Wickline, said Friday the case will not be brought to trial before “January or February.” An Oklahoma judge has scheduled a pretrial conference for Oct. 23, but neither Wickline nor OSU athletic director Mike Holder will be required to attend that hearing.
A trial date could be announced at the hearing.
