Head coach Steve Sarkisian and the Texas Longhorns haven’t just landed another top-five recruiting class for the fourth straight season — as of late afternoon on Early Signing Day, the Horns have the nation’s top recruiting class in the 247Sports Composite team rankings, courtesy of the commitment from Alamo Heights athlete Michael Terry, the nation’s No. 24 prospect, and every pledge entering Wednesday sticking with Texas.

Texas is holding the top spot despite missing out on several other targets on Wednesday — consensus five-star offensive tackle Michael Fasusi, who following through on his commitment to Oklahoma by quietly signing with the Sooners, consensus four-star edge Javion Hilson, who is heading to Missouri, consensus four-star linebacker Kellen Wiley, a Miami signee.
