Update (Nov. 26, 8:48 p.m.): Mack Brown has reportedly agreed to terms to become North Carolina's new head football coach, per ESPN. Brown's hiring is pending approval by the university's board, per the report.
Brown previously coached at North Carolina from 1988-1997 before he was hired by Texas. Brown, who won a national championship with the Longhorns during the 2005 season, has not coached since his final season in Austin in 2013.
