NORMAN, Okla. — The No. 9/10 Texas women's basketball team suffered a 65-63 Big 12 Conference defeat at No. 18/21 Oklahoma Saturday afternoon inside the Sooners' Lloyd Noble Center.
With the loss, the Longhorns snap four-game win streak and slip to 15-4 overall with a 5-3 mark in league competition. The Sooners move to 18-3, 7-2.
Both teams traded blows throughout as the game featured 19 lead changes and 12 ties. Eight points was the largest lead of the game, held by Oklahoma at the 5:29 mark of the second quarter.
Trailing 36-33 at halftime, the Longhorns came out strong in the third quarter outscoring the Sooners, 18-12, and took a 51-48 lead into the final frame.
