LUBBOCK, Texas — The No. 9 University of Texas Women's Tennis team posted an impressive 4-0 sweep at No. 33 Texas Tech on Sunday afternoon at the McLeod Tennis Center. The Longhorns (17-3, 7-1 Big 12) claimed the doubles point and won three singles matches in straight sets against the Red Raiders (13-7, 3-3 Big 12) to record their seventh-consecutive dual-match victory, including six straight against nationally-ranked opponents.
Texas grabbed an early 1-0 lead after claiming a hard-fought doubles point. The tandem of freshman Nicole Khirin and junior Malaika Rapolu earned a 6-2 victory on court 3 over Kate Dmitrichenko and Camryn Stepp.
