AUSTIN, Texas – Freshman pitcher Shealyn O'Leary tossed her first career no-hitter and the 47th in Longhorns history on Wednesday night at Red & Charline McCombs Field to help No. 9/10 Texas softball (18-3) complete a doubleheader sweep of Longwood (11-7), 9-1 (5 inn.).
Important Notes
- O'Leary's no-hitter was the first for the Longhorns program (and 47th all-time) since Blaire Luna no-hit Florida State back on May 26, 2013.
- With the win, O'Leary became the first Longhorns freshman pitcher to ever start her collegiate career at a perfect 6-0.
