GREENVILLE, N.C. – No. 9 Texas Baseball defeated No. 8 East Carolina, 11-1, at Clark-LeClair Stadium in the NCAA Greenville Super Regional on Sunday night to advance to the NCAA College World Series for the 38th time in program history.
The Longhorns (47-20) jumped out to an early lead in the top of the first before having to endure a nearly five-hour delay. With the delay, Texas completed the win after 12:30 a.m. CT.
Tristan Stevens made his first start since April 30 and was brilliant, pitching six innings of one-run baseball to keep the Longhorns' season alive.
