AUSTIN, Texas — The No. 8 University of Texas Women's Tennis team (22-4) earned a 4-0 sweep against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (25-3) in a NCAA First Round match on Friday afternoon at the Texas Tennis Center. With the win, the Longhorns advance to host No. 34 San Diego in the NCAA Second Round at 4 p.m. Central on Saturday, May 6.
Texas improved to 7-0 in NCAA First Round matches under head coach Howard Joffe. San Diego (13-10) earned its spot in the NCAA Second Round with a 4-1 victory against No. 28 California (12-10) earlier on Friday.
