AUSTIN, Texas — The No. 8 University of Texas Women's Swimming and Diving team recorded an impressive 170-125 victory against No. 17 Texas A&M on Friday evening at the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center. The Longhorns won 14 of the 16 events during the dual-meet opener for both teams.
Sophomore Kelly Pash claimed victories in the 100-yard freestyle (49.53) and 200-yard freestyle (1:46.42) and swam the fastest time in the 200-yard individual medley (1:58.75). Junior Julia Cook earned wins in the 100-yard backstroke (53.09) and 200-yard backstroke (1:57.96), and senior Evie Pfeifer took the top spot in the 500-yard freestyle (4:43.
