KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The No. 7/9 Texas Women's Basketball Team came away with a hard-fought 82-73 overtime victory over No. 10/7 Iowa State Saturday afternoon in the Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship semifinals inside Municipal Auditorium.
With the win, the No.3-seeded Longhorns run their win streak to 10 games and punch their ticket to Sunday's Big 12 Championship game where they'll meet up with No.1-seeded and No.4/4-ranked Baylor. Tip is slated for 1 p.m. CT and will air nationally on ESPN 2.
Texas grabbed an early 18-16 lead after a back-and-fourth first quarter. ISU responded in the second quarter outscoring the Longhorns 18-10, and took a 34-28 lead into the break.
