Va. — Graduate guard Marcus Carr recorded a game-high 23 points to lead No. 7/7 Texas (16-3, 5-2 Big 12) to a 69-61 victory at West Virginia (11-8, 1-6 Big 12) on Saturday night at the WVU Coliseum. UT improved to 9-2 under the leadership of Interim Head Coach Rodney Terry with the win.
Carr had 19 of his 23 points in the second half and converted 8-of-14 field goals and 5-of-6 free throws while adding three assists and three steals in 37 minutes. Super senior Dylan Disu posted 13 points while hitting 6-of-9 field goals and recorded five rebounds in 24 minutes.
