AUSTIN, Texas – No. 7 Texas Volleyball's Asjia O'Neal has been named the Big 12 Conference Co-Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.
O'Neal made her first appearance of the season and guided Texas to a road victory against then-No. 5 Minnesota. The native of Southlake, Texas finished with a team-high eight blocks and added seven kills in the win over the Golden Gophers.
She finished with 11 kills with a .385 hitting percentage to go with nine total blocks during the week. This is the three-time First Team All-Big 12 member's third Defensive Player of the Week award and her fourth overall weekly league recognition.
