AUSTIN, Texas – No. 7 Texas Volleyball came up short in a five-set thriller to Texas A&M, 27-25, 14-25, 25-23, 21-25, 16-18, on Wednesday at Gregory Gymnasium.
The Longhorns (12-4, 7-1) dropped their first conference match of the season and had their nine-match winning streak snapped.
Madisen Skinner had a great match with a season-high 22 kills, while hitting .415. Reagan Rutherford added 13 kills, while hitting .375, and added four blocks.
The Longhorns opened the match with a wild first set win, 27-25, over the Aggies. Texas relied on its block during the opening set with five total blocks.
