With ESPN’s College Gameday on site at the Cotton Bowl, the No. 19-ranked Texas Longhorns will attempt to pull off an upset over the No. 7-ranked Oklahoma Sooners, who opened as 7.5-point favorites over the Longhorns on Sunday.
The series, now called the Red River Shown, began in 1900 and features a winning record of 61-46-5 for the Longhorns. However, the Sooners have won six of the last eight games at the State Fair, including a 55-17 blowout in 2011 and a 63-21 demolition in 2012 that effectively heralded the end of the Mack Brown era.
