ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico – The No. 6/1 Texas track and field program championed three events at the NCAA Indoor Championships on Saturday.
Alfred tore the NCAA record book to shreds from the gun. She completed the indoor sprints double after winning both the 60m and 200m in less than an hour in Albuquerque. She began her day winning the 60m dash with another collegiate record time of 6.94 seconds and matches the second-fastest time in world history. She now holds the top six times in collegiate history and the top-11 in UT history. The St. Lucia native went undefeated in the 60 this indoor season and is the first Longhorn to win the event since Teahna Daniels in 2016.
