STILLWATER, Okla. – No. 6 Texas Women's Basketball (22-4, 13-2 Big 12) utilized their dominance within the paint to defeat No. 21 Oklahoma State (18-8, 9-6 Big 12), 77-62 on Saturday at the Gallagher-Iba Arena.
The team garnered 46 points in the paint and saw four players tally double figures in scoring.
Senior Brooke McCarty led Texas in points and assists with 17 and six, respectively. McCarty was 3-for-4 beyond the arc and 7-of-14 in field goals. Fellow senior guard Ariel Atkins followed with 15 points. Sophomore guard/forward Joyner Holmes scored 10 points and rebounded seven times.
