AUSTIN, Texas – Senior Texas guard Brooke McCarty led the Longhorns with a team-high 17 points as No. 6 Texas Women's Basketball (20-4, 11-2 Big 12) defeated Kansas State (13-12, 5-9 Big 12), 76-54, at the Frank Erwin Center Saturday night.
McCarty was 6-of-12 from the field and filled the stat sheet with four rebounds, two assists and two steals.
With the win, the Longhorns have now reached the 20-win plateau for the 35th time in the program's 44 seasons and for the fifth consecutive year. Texas also broke their season record for steals in a game (16) during the win.
