AUSTIN, Texas — The No. 6 Texas Men's Golf team posted a six-under-par 278 on Monday to claim a share of the lead after the opening day of the NCAA Austin Regional at The University of Texas Golf Club. Freshman Pierceson Coody recorded a five-under-par 66 to grab the individual lead after the first 18 holes.
UT and No. 18 Pepperdine share the lead after the opening 18 holes, while No. 30 TCU is two strokes back in third place at four-under-par 280. In the individual standings, Pepperdine's Joshua McCarthy, TCU's David Ravetto and Arkansas' Julian Perico each fired four-under-par 67s and are one stroke behind Coody.
