FORT WORTH, Texas – No. 6 Texas Baseball came out with a 5-4 win over No. 3 TCU in a back-and-forth game in the series opener on Friday night at Lupton Stadium. The Longhorns (37-11, 14-5) got a late go-ahead home from Mike Antico to secure the win.
Antico finished the game 2-for-4 with one RBI and three runs scored, while Zach Zubia went 2-for-5 with two RBI.
Tanner Witt pitched two scoreless innings of relief with three strikeouts and picked up his third win of the season. Aaron Nixon came into the ninth inning with two runners on and nobody out and slammed the door for his seventh save of the season.
