AUSTIN, Texas — Graduate guard Sir'Jabari Rice recorded a season-high 24 points and super senior Timmy Allen reached the 2,000-career point plateau to lead No. 5/6 Texas (20-5, 9-3 Big 12) to a 94-60 victory against West Virginia (15-10, 4-8 Big 12) on Saturday afternoon in Moody Center. The Longhorns recorded their largest margin of victory (34 points) in the series history against West Virginia, topping the previous mark of 27 points in a 77-50 home win on Jan. 27, 2015.
Texas reached the 20-win mark in its 25th contest of the year and its 20-5 record marks its best 25-game start since the 2010-11 season (22-3).
