HOUSTON — The Texas women's basketball team outscored Houston 21-9 in the second quarter and pulled away for an 82-66 victory on the road on Wednesday.
Madison Booker led Texas with 23 points on 9-of-13 shooting, her eighth game of the season scoring at least 20 points. Booker added seven rebounds, four assists and a steal.
A native of Pearland, Texas, DeYona Gaston scored a season-high 21 points on 9-of-15 from the field. Aaliyah Moore also scored in double figures with 12 points.
Texas (23-3, 10-3) ended the first half on a 19-2 run and led 39-24 at the half.
