AUSTIN, Texas – No. 5 Texas Volleyball freshman Jhenna Gabriel has been named Big 12 Rookie of the Week, the Big 12 Conference announced on Monday.
Gabriel posted 76 assists (10.86/set), 10 digs, three kills, three aces, and two blocks to lead the Longhorns past Kansas State and Kansas last week.
The award marks the first of Gabriel's career and the first weekly rookie award for Texas this season.
