The Texas Longhorns signed the No. 169 player in the country and the No. 5 center Jake Majors on Wednesday.
Like Logan Parr, Majors was one of the early commitments in the 2020 recruiting class, joining the Longhorns when he made his verbal pledge early this year. He was the third commit in the class, choosing Texas over Washington, Colorado, Stanford, Arkansas, and TCU. Schools like Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Missouri have extended offers since the Longhorns jumped into the mix. All total, Majors held 15 offers at the time of his pledge
Though Majors also visited TCU, Arkansas, and SMU, it was Stanford, which unofficially hosted Majors during the summer and owned his first Crystal Ball projection, that was thought to be the stiffest competition for Texas.
