No. 5 Men’s Golf claims the team title at the Southwestern Invitational

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — The No. 5 Texas Men's Golf team carded a 6-under-par 278 on Wednesday to claim the team title at the Southwestern Invitational at Sherwood Country Club. The Longhorns, who began the day two strokes off the lead in a tie for second place, rallied in the final few holes to post a one-shot victory over runner-up San Diego State.

Texas registered a three-round total of 8-under 844 (289-277-278) to earn its first team championship of the 2024-25 season. The Aztecs finished second at 7-under 845 (276-290-279), while No. 15 Vanderbilt placed third at 4-under 848 (282-287-279).
