The No. 2 Texas Longhorns once again couldn't overcome the offense’s inability to score in the first half, with multiple empty drives leading to a 22-19 overtime loss to the No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs. That loss means Texas will likely host a first-round playoff game and need to win a month of extra football in order to claim a national title.

The same issues that plagued Texas week-in and week-out continued to crop up in this game and ultimately made a difference in the game.

Texas can’t afford to leave points on the board

Whether it was penalties, trading touchdowns for field goals, or missing those field-goal attempts, Texas left at least 11 to 13 points on the board in the first half, which put them in a bad position for most of the game.
