LAWRENCE, Kan. – No. 5 Texas Baseball pitched its third shutout of the season behind seven great innings by Tristan Stevens to beat Kansas, 7-0, Friday night at Hoglund Ballpark. The Longhorns (19-8, 6-2) have won their third Big 12 Conference series and sixth-straight series overall.
Stevens pitched seven shutout innings for the longest outing of his career. He struck out four batters, with his final strikeout stranding two runners in scoring position to end the seventh. Cole Quintanilla pitched the final two scoreless innings with two strikeouts to complete the shutout.
