AUSTIN, Texas — Madison Booker recorded her fifth double-double of the season with 20 points and 11 rebounds and Kyla Oldacre scored 13 points and grabbed six rebounds as the No. 4/6 Texas women's basketball team emerged victorious, 66-62 over No. 2/2 South Carolina on Sunday at Moody Center in front of a crowd of 10,517.
Taylor Jones added a third Texas player to score in double figures with 11 points. Jones tallied four steals to go with two steals by Oldacre.
At the end of the opening quarter, freshman guard Bryanna Preston sank two free throws giving Texas a 18-16 lead heading into the second quarter.
