LAWRENCE, Kan.— Senior Imani Boyette led all scorers with 15 points, and senior Empress Davenport recorded her first career double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds to lead No. 4/4 Texas past Kansas, 75-38, inside Allen Fieldhouse on Wednesday night.
With the win, Texas (16-0, 5-0 Big 12 Conference) is off to its first 5-0 Big 12 Conference start since the Longhorn's 2002-03 campaign. The Horns have beaten the Jayhawks in the last six meetings and lead the all-time series, 20-10. In addition, the victory secured Texas head coach Karen Aston's 175th victory.
